Help! I cant debug any programs.. the windows form 'freezes' opon starting

I have no idea why this is happening

i just got vb.net 2005 express edition, whenever i start a program, the form simply hangs for no reason and i have to kill it

the compiled program works fine

any idea why this could be happening?

ive noticed thsi only happens when i have a webbrowser on my form

any ideas?

can you show your code?

you dont even need code to reproduce this

draw a webbrowser on the form (vb.net express)

click run

and not only will the form not show, the app will hang

if you set the webbrowser as visible = false, then made a button with wb.visiible = true, the app will load. once u click the button, the app will hang indefinately

Just wondering, XP + SP2?

i have the same problem and it's not in the code. when i try to debug the solution the vb.net freezes after 'Rebuild succeeded'. no warnings or anything, it just freezes.

i tried to remove/re-add all names from Debugger group, but it didn't help. finally i had to uninstall wxp sp2.

it worked fine before installing wxp sp2 and it works fine again after uninstalling sp2.

I found a (painfully simple) solution to the problem:

I unchecked the "Disable script debugging" in the IE/Tools/Internet settings/Advanced, which was obviously automaticly checked by SP2, and now the debugging works fine...

hopefully this helps u out too....
