Textbox Data

I have been doing some research on displaying Data in a Textbox... but can't seem to find any examples... now please keep in mind that I am self taught so I may not be looking for the proper terms on the net...

I am using MSDE2000... could someone show me a quick example of how to get data from a database and display the results into an editable textbox on my web page?

Please comment the code for the beginner... :D

Nothing to elaborate needed, just a quick example.... I will ask for help on how to apply the changes once they are made later on when I conquer this objective!
