Ownage!
have only had one Non-Intel processor in the last 15 years, and got one for real cheap and never ran it. its still sitting around somewhere. think it had W98.
about 10 Intel's though.
Nice
Freddy vs Jason.
We dont need another one of these.

What is an alluminati? Is that someone who takes allum intravenously?
Glad you re-opened this loser of a thread, now I can vote for Intel to yank your chain. Just like Bush vs. Kerry, it really isn't about who you like better, it's about who you want to vote against.
I doubt there'll be a war over this, I really don't care, and I can't see anybody else getting worked up over it. Cander will post just to be rude, Bodwad will lift his leg on either, Mendhak will post some sage drivel, Woka will turn the discussion to arse battering, and NoteMe will switch it to general S&M. Where's the war in all that? Now if we were to start talking about evolution......
I now have one AMD, and three Intel, but I will be getting rid of at least one of the Intel ones (anybody want an old 233MMX? Still has a 5.25" drive!).
People fighting wars over CPU's are going to feel dumb when the next big thing comes in and trashes their CPU of choice.
Then there is a new war! Btw, where are VIA and Transmeta from the list? :D
:Take a break and read:

Where are all the non x86 chips?
Of the top 500 most powerful supercomputers in the world:
320 are Intel
54 are IBM power
48 are Hewlet Packard PA Risc
31 are AMD
says it all really?
The Illuminati are rumoured to be a secret group of men who have connections to all governments in the world. They are rumoured to be the true power behind these governments, effectively being the puppeteers of the worlds' puppet governmentsQuote:

Well, that settles it. Let's all vomit on each other.

Everything's bigger than your kernel.Quote:

I wasn't asking about Illuminati, I've heard of them. What is that Alluminati?Quote:

I wouldn't put too much faith in benchmarks because for the most part they are complete bull.Quote:

I think the IBM PowerPC beats them all :)
And my dad can beat up your dad.
I'm not saying I like one more than the other, but supercomputers are not used for gaming and there is proof that Intel is better for applications.Quote:

I believe this is correct, but the reason a 2.2GHz AMD is equal to a 3.4GHz Intel is this:
AMD has actual less clock speeds, but performs at the speed it says.
