Anyone know if the Opera browser can handle .vbs files?
When I just tried one, rather than execute it, Opera just displayed the text of the vbs file.
Thanks, DaveBo

As far as I know vbs is only supported by IE, i doubt any other browser will support it as it is MS's propritory scripting language..Quote:

Change that from doubt to for sure. No browser other than IE supports vbs.
Thanks, i was pretty sure but you never know, someone always comes up with "Nope, it can be done".Quote:

But when Dr fFox says it its confirmed :)
Yup.
I tried simple VBS and JavaScript in IE, Netscape and Opera browsers.
Only IE would handle the VBS, they all handled the JavaScript,
but when I tried adding automation, i.e. to open an Access.Application, again only IE could handle it using either script language.
Thanks, DaveBo
Yeah. Dont touch Vbscript as Firefox is slowly erroding IE market share. And if using javascript, make sure its standard javascript, not Microsofts bastardized JScript.
:D
I keep banging on about not using VBScript in client side, but a lot still uses it :mad:Quote:
