C/C++ libraries in VB

Hello All.

Is there any way I can use C/C++ libraries in VB.
I am a new comer to C/C++ , but I am good at VB.
I have to wrtie some hardware controlling program for
which C++ libraries are available for the hardware.

Any suggestion/solutions.

Are they available as static libraries (.lib) or dynamic libraries (.dll)?
