Anyone else have this problem?
I rebooted my WinXP today and now the Windows Task Manager will not show its little green icon in the systray.
I uninstalled some spyware but I think thats it...

I rebooted my WinXP today and now the Windows Task Manager will not show its little green icon in the systray.
I uninstalled some spyware but I think thats it...
Check ->Options->Hide on minimized.
Uncheck it.
It IS unchecked. That simply removes it from the bar at the bottom of the desktop. I'm talking about the little green graphical waveform in the SYSTRAY.
You may wish to try it. Also, make sure that you aren't Hiding Iactive Icons in the taskbar, alsoQuote:

Thanks for all the advice but nothing is working. Oh, how I miss my little green waveform :cry:
OK this time, I actually set the 2 services to DISABLED (as opposed to just turning them off), logged off and logged back in.
I got my icon back!
