Acidic, Jop, CB... And anyone else

Hi,

Just read the discussion on tables vs divs.. I'd go with the divs. Its less code.

Anyways, as Jop knows I had a quick mess around with firefox last night and tried to redo the layout the way I wanted using divs, just set borders to see areas and positioning etc.

Below are the three links to these attempts. Firefox seems to do weird things when I float elements though so I would like some advice on whether I should float everything or not float anything.

I´ll be glad to help you out, but please tell me what you want to do and where you think it´s going wrong, then I´ll be able to help you out.

Attached is a (big) pics file - three pics... of what I'm trying to do.

Hope this give syou an idea. The links to the html files are about 90% valid html and styles ;) but it was the way firefox rendered the pages which has me confuzzled :confused:

Firefox renders it the way it should, IE is screwin up here.

I hope that gives you an idea how to make your others. Please also note that you used Xhtml code while you declared your document as HTML 4.01 transitional. Always validate and fix all errors.
