sqr(2) + sqr(1/2). I come up with 3sqr(2) while my friend comes up with 3sqr(2)/2. I think hes wrong. :lol:

sqr(2) + sqr(1/2) --> sqr(2) + (sqr(1)/sqr(2)) * (sqr(2)/sqr(2)) --> sqr(2) /2 + sqr(2) --> (2/1) * (sqr(2) / 2) --> sqr(2) --> (2/1)* (sqr(2)/1) --> 2sqr(2) + sqr(2) = 3sqr(2).
well, my calculator says your friend is right. I'm not sure I can prove it algebraically though.
