yes I am sure everyone here is interested in volunteering their time to teach you how to game program :rolleyes:
while you may not be able to afford a book, there are plenty of online resources you can use.
my suggestion is learn VB.NET very well before trying to create games as all the core functionality of VB.NET will play large rolls in any game you might make
