Visual Studio 2003 Enterprise Architect from me - [email protected] :D
What's the difference between Pro, developer and architect?
Check out the product overview - you can always upgrade if you want. I think you want at least the pro version

Wait for the new one
Sorry, this will be OT, but...Quote:

No way! No way will I wait to write code, or suggest/condone anything of the like just because "something better" is coming out. Something better is always coming out! Heck, I got to pay bills now!
PT Exorcist, you've got to be kidding. How can you not encourage using current tools? What are you going to say when 2005 comes out? Wait until the next version?
Or maybe I've got you wrong - you're just kidding, right?
Mike
yeah VS 2005 has some really cool functionality... one real cool thing is that you can break during code and start it up from the break point like VB6, also there is improved intellesense, a new keyword "My" which has a ton of functionality, and other stuff, check out MS site for details on it. Its in beta1 right now
Maybe you should first of all calm down. The new VS.NET will bring the new framework that will be a LOT different.Quote:

You can still get a cracked or demo version of current version and when the new one comes out you buy the new one. It's worth waiting
Do you guys/girls know when this will happen?
When's the come out of 2005???
I realy don't like waiting!!!
On the other hand
I'm waiting whole my life so why should I not now...
well if money is not a concern, why not buy 2003 now, and 2005 when it comes out? you can probably buy an upgrade version of 2005 for cheaper than the full cost
on a side note, this is the 3rd .NET release in 4 years... why isn't MS just updating the current framework and IDE with new functionality... it seems they release a version of .NET and let it be until a new version comes out... (other than critical flaws found) other than the obvious reasons that it is more money for them?
Well we're at Java 1.42 right now.... there have been at least 5 or 6 Java 'framework' versions....
I am actually installing VS2005 2.0 beta right now... (msdn subscription), because we're looking forward to the new web development features in particular.
