It locks the scroll silly!
I think it stopped the scroll thingy back in the days of DOS. I'm sure can can google an article about it.

Actually it does do something :eek2: try it in Excel, it does something, can't remember what though...
Oh, if you turn it on, use the arrow keys, instead of moving the active cell box, it scrolls, turn it off, the active cell box moves.
