Grab External IP

Hi,

I am re-writing a program I wrote in vb.net, but this time I'm using c#

I want to grab my external IP address, at the moment I'm using showmyip.com to grab it, but is there a way to do using c#?

this doesn't return my IP, just the IP jumps to get from a web site to me?

I need my external IP, surely I should be able to call it from my router?

as my router must get it form some where
