A Dot.Net Framework !
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to know one thing here, When you talk about a Dot.Net Framework what does it mean. When some says Dot.Net Framework does it mean Visual Basic.Net, ASP.NET, C# and SQL . what are the most commonly used syntaxes in VB.NET. How significant is it to know XML, If I want to call myself a Microsoft.Net Proffessional. Can I start working in a Microsoft.Net Environment without not knowing or not making any use of XML.

The .NET framework is the driving force behind all that .NET is. Basically, its the core classes that make even the most basic application usable, and the virtual machine that responsible for running .NET applications.
XML is important to understand, but it isn't absolutely necessary to program.
Also, you can call yourself whatever you want, but if you are talking about cerification, then you would need to take several tests from MS, which now more than ever will probably require a good knowledge of XML.
And VB only has one syntax - VB :p

And its pointless to say Dot.Net (Dot Dot Net), just say Dot Net or .NET
