Is this a free lightweight Version of VS.NET ?
:p
Yep, that is it.
Well not much good to me, the download doesn't support resume, i'll never get it on a dial - up..
it's nice.
Have you tested it? I havn't had the time. Did you only test VB or any of the others. Tell me a bit about it...pleeeeese...:D
I've only used the C++ compiler; the IDE is of course common (and much like the 2003 IDE I think). The new compiler took 20kb off my http server code when compiled with optimizations, as compared to VC6. Only complaint is that it uses a lot of memory and is a bit bloated, but that's been a problem in all releases post-6.
Yeah it has...did you check the Intely Sense...it was big complains about it in VC ++ 03, and the VC++ team manager told us and said he would look into it for the 2005 release.
And it is always nice to see that the compiler is getting better.
Thanks.

intellisense seems fine so far, but then I haven't used 2003. It's definitely better than in VC6!
I even found a stupid bug in my code that the VC6 compiler really should have complained about, but didn't; the new one objected to it. (I think it was one of those dodgy VC6 scope issues  )
Sweet....Hope I get the chance to download it later today....
