Database error 3049

Hi There

I'm receiving the following error when I try to compact my database using the ADO compact method.

"Err Number 3049.
Err Desc: Cannot open database. It may not a be database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt. Quit application?"

I only receive this error if I cancel a File System Object operation before I try to use the compact method.

What am I doing wrong?

If the extension of your file is .mdb try this.
Open it with access prog go to tools -> database utilities -> repair database.
Sometimes I have this problem and this is the way to correct.
