Calling all Gurus: IIS ADSI and Providers Where is Documentation?
I am trying to write VB code to make a directory on an ftp server, make a username and a pass, and set permissions (read write, minus execute, etc)
Does anyone have any *clue* as to where I should start looking or any code that could help me out with this..
Is there a DLL included with IIS that I can use??
Microsoft KB articles that tell you how?
Or do I need to use DDE or OLE to have the asp/vb application talk to IIS/FTP server itself??
Anything will help as I am searching the net as I finish this for some nfo, thanx!
What I dug up, is that to do that, you need to use the Active Directory that IIS uses to store usernames and passes with the service. the ADSI is just an interface to this Active Directory and you need an ADSI Provider to integrate that into your VB program..
Next Question: How come IIS and ADSI doesn't turn up *anything* relevant in all the vb sites I've been to so far?? that one article I found on it can be seen here:

Any ideas?? (I figured I'd update my post to kinda keep it on top of the forum =p.. lol) I'll stop, I'll stop, I just need to know where to start you know??
