I already looked at that one.. it only does the first 15 seconds of a file  .
Well, all you need is another program that can cut the first 15 seconds off, and another program that can stick 2 midis together. :p
  :lol:Quote:

Sounds like a plan!
You'd think they'd give the microsoft sound recorder the ability to open MP3s. (I use that for all my sound needs, lol)
you can't convert mp3 to midi
It is possible but the results are nothing to shout about.Quote:

MP3 is audio format and MIDI is more like a piece of sheet music describing how the music should be played. How you write a prgram to convert from auido to MIDI is way over my head but it can be done.
The result often sounds quite bland comapred to the actual piece and in some places parts of the melody may be missing or merged.
Your best bet is to keep them in mp3 format and find something else that can play them (or use a later version of DX for music).

I agree with you....if you can manage it, it will at least not give the same result if you convert midi to a mp3 and then back again...it's like baking a cake, then try to get the ingrediense (SP?) back after you have baked the cake...that isn't easy, and it will never be a good result...
I assume your wanting to use Dx7 because your using it for the graphics? Well theres nothing stopping you using Dx8 for playing the mp3s and Dx7 for the graphics. Or is that not possible for you?
I'll just use DX8. (fine, I'll read another tutorial.. FINE!)
Hehehehe
Well what about wav files in Dx 7? Arh more reading again :DQuote:
