i have about 4 apps in my mind that need to be developed within the group, so we have some ideas of what to develop

If it's any consolation, I got a D in art A-level a few years ago (C in GCSE graphic design) so I studied a bit, I would even say I'm nearly good at it. What R U after?

Have you seen any programs been created like this before? I know you can get circular forms, but donkey like is a little beyond me.

Hmmm.... Uniqueness, I think vbworld had a tip in this weeks newsletter of changing the forms colour - like all of the setup programs - black at the top and fading to blue near the bottom.
Try a pink phasing to brown, maybe with some green polka dots at the left side. This will certainly get the users attention n e way and make them keep looking back to it!
Most adventurous I have done is a light yellow form with some red labels....that's another story though.
