I've been studying MCSD Guide "Visual Basic 6.0 Advanced Topics" all summer long. The Transcender pratice test comes with that.
So I take the damn test and get an impressive 50% on it. I'm so excited I could just poop.
I'd like to think I'm capable of passing the Cert for Desktop but I'm begining to think I cannot hack it, after all, what is 70 questions pulled out of 1,500pgs of material?
Am I the only person who doesn't know every single property of EVERY damn control. Like if I had to use the slider control I wouldn't open a reference book and look at the events/properties if I had a question?
Okay, here is my question.
Is the Cert Test actually as hard as the free sample Transcender sends me or are they making the free sample harder so I shell out $170 for the rest of the test package.
Also, what 5,000pg book do I need to memorize to pass this stoopid test? I actually opened the book I'm using now AFTER the test and some of the material wasn't even in there. SHEESH.
Advice, tips, counter rants appreciated.

Yes I suppose you must be the only person that doesn't know every property, method and event of every control there is........ :)
And of course you have to know that to pass the test... :)
Well seriously, you should know the Windows Common Controls (the Toolbar, StatusBar, ImageList and so on) and how to use them.
You must also know how to use ADO and how a User Control works (when the different events are raised is important here).
The different debugging tools in VB is also very important to know about and how to use (the Immediate window, how to add a watch statement and so on).
You must also be able to, given a code sample, go through the call stack to see where and when an error is raised and where that is handled and also where the code will resume.
