I can't say it's the best book but if you are at least an intermediate programmer in VB6 then 101 Microsoft Visual Basic .NET Applications is pretty good. It could use a few more screenshots but the examples are great and are examples of real world programming.

I've found Visual Basic .NET Stepy-By-Step to be very helpful. Its printed by the Microsoft Press. You can get it at Barnes & Nobles.
For me there only one book Beginning VB.NET, 2nd Edition

I agree. There have been MANY threads. But, since we're here, I recommend James Foxall's VB.NET 2003. It comes with a dvd of the basic version. It's easy to understand and he starts you from page one making a real working application that you can use.Quote:
