I think I saw a similar post but I can't find it now...so forgive me for having a double-post.
How could you provide a "query builder" interface much like you see in enterprise manager that lets your users select what database server, what table and so forth. the rest would be easy except I am not too keen on how to scour a network and retrieve a list of JUST db servers.

I was thinking there might be a 3rd party control out there do do this. I think I may work on a form though. If anyone has any info on a control that's similar to the visual tools on server explorer, that'd be cool!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

sorta. I want to have an available list of DATABASE servers and tables then the user can create a query. I have code for gathering all network servers and workstations if that's what you mean by 'enumerating' it simply lists all the pc's for me.

Well , that's what I meant by enumerating servers . I've seen SQL Database explorer some time ago , you might try Google to bring it up ! :DQuote:
