Look for any file encryption programs on download.com ;)
You can set file/folder permissions in Windows. Right click the folder, choose properties, then the security tab. If that's what you're after.
won't work... they require that they have my windows password... :o
it's bs... why they need on my machine i'll never know...
try a PGP Disk (mountable file that is encrpyted)
best file protection you can get is when you copy your files to a cdrw and erase the originals off the hard drive. Are you trying to keep confidentiality secure or are you just trying to keep prying eyes around the office out?
One other sneaky thing you can do (but work than it's worth) is to zip your project and hide that zip file.
why, may i ask do your co workers have your password? if you mean your administrators, they can get into your computer with or without it so they don't have any reason to have it.
In my situation my "administrators" have no power over my computer unless I give it to them. ;) Unfortunately, they made me give it to them b/c they bought the machine. :o (a sweeet one too i might add).
It's just an "I have to have power over you and your work even though I don't know crap about what you are doing."... kinda thing... It sux, but there's not much I can do except for keep what they don't need to be getting their hands on (incase they get a case of the a$$ at me and well.. you get the idea).
Thanks for the help.
Anyone else have something to offer?

Password protect your zip file? You'd have to zip and unzip alot, but could probably be done with batch files.
Probably getting OT.
OT?
