Install runs when opening a DTS?

Anyone have any similar behavior? :

I have an install of an application that is for version 1. This app can get automatic updates of new versions, so when a new version is available, it copies the files and removes the old ones.

Now, for some reason, when I open a DTS in SQL Enterprise Manager, it kicks off the install for my version 1 install. Wierd. Anyone know why this would occur? I think it is looking for the version 1 files, and can't find them so runs the install. But why? - the DTS has nothing to do with my app.
