computer hybernates automatically, wtf
I have winxp sp1... havent enabled automatic hybernation in the power options, but I've tried this 4 times alreayd, I leave my copmuter on in the morning, leave home and when I come back its off (hybernated though).... I've scanned my comp too, no trojan worms apparently. what the heck is going on, any ideas?

I think it could be your power savign feature. Go to Control Panel click on "Power Options" and check if Hibernating/Standby is enabled after n Minute.

yeah but I said I've done that already and they are all disabled, so I couldnt figure out why this was happening. So far its been working ok, but it had happened more than 10 times before and I had double checked the power options...stupid windows

I know how it feels, it has happened to me too, not sure how i fixed it. Try looking into screen saver options, that has a power saving feature too. The fact that it is goign to Locking mode indicates that the Window is doing it.

hmm ok I disabled screensavers as a whole:D I just use my monitors power options now....hopefully windows will behave:D
