how many people program in C++
i sometimes do... in a UNIX environment...
i do im learning tho but pretty good in doing stuff but not making windows app tho
I have done abit in it the first programming course was in C++ ,i find Vb alot easier and more practical for certain things
TO me C++ is ezy. Vb you have to learn how to program in each littel control or what ever. but in c++ you mkae your own control and you know how to program for it but in VB you have to know alot of API calls and stuff like that so its harder to program invb but if you just keep working at C++ it and working at it your get good better then the pro's with out going to the skools
I would have to disagree. I program in both and i can tell you that VB is a lot easier then C++. Also, if you use C++ then you definetly would have to use pre-build classes like CEdit, CButton, CListbox etc (which also have properties and methods). Of course, C++ has more flexability to work with particular control, it is still a lot more complicated. Because you have to use callback functions to retrieve the messages for the controls. VB is RAD - Rapid Application Development.

this is all verry well , but why was the question in the first place ?? ( making a poll ?)
anyway i think any pationate programmer should know at least VB and C++ if not VC++
.. as for me i know three of them ...and VB IS defenitaly THE easiest ., it is anyway the most user-friendly

dear bob , i find myself obliged to disagree with u on that point ... coz there is a biiig difference between c++ a.d vc++ , besides , for god's sake bob spare us the "vc++ = Visual C++" i think we are all "wise" enough not to say smart , to know that ...
