Making some changes to the home network. :D
Basically I plan on having,
2 computers -> Router/Switch/Hub ->Wireless transmitter {-/>-} Wireless transmitter -> Router/Switch/Hub -> 2 Comps

Can I use that for the job of the Wireless part?

Isn't an Access Point for connecting computers with wireless network cards together? All of my computers have normal cabled cards, and I don't particularly want to change that. :(
Hm.. ok i think i mis-interpret your post. Seems like you are trying to bridge 2 segment of network together using wireless technologies.

Well, one of the computers will be a laptop, so I can buy a wireless card for that pretty easy, so then could I possibly connect the other computer through the laptop via a crossover cable? :unsure:

I would suggest D-Link products. They work very well, and they also support 802.11a wireless now.
I have a wireless network at home :
DSL Phone Socket --- DSL-300G+ Modem --- DI-624+ Broadband Router
The DI-624+ has a 4 port switch built in, and also 2 wireless antennae. So I can connect to it wirelessly, or hard-wired.
The above network configuration will give you a 802.11g compatible network - but you can also get 802.11a gear now too :D
Yeah, I have two Dlink Cards and a Broadband router at the moment and they all work great. :yes:
