is there a way to run an application over the netowrk without running an application to do it?

i want to run notepad.exe from terminal1 automatically through code without me using and server/client base application?
How else have you planned to launch the notepad.exe? Why not launch it with a script upon bootup? Or a NAL-script if you have novell network?
