Dunno any books, but I do know there's an OCP certification, for DBAs.
Has to have some value. :)
Am gonna check that out. Do you have any idea how hard it is?
A couple friends of mine have done this and say it's not very tough. Just requires a bit of concentration, and you're through.
They also mentioned that it was "interesting", and that it holds good value when you're looking for a job.
Cheers mendhak, checked out OCP Developer Certification and it sounds like what I'm after, but could any one recommend suitable study material, baring in mind that I've never used Oracle before, but I have an OK knowledge of using SQL statements
If feeling adventurous before any training, you could always download the Oracle Personal Edition from their website. Find a good book and have at the real thing to check it out a bit.
What's a good book to start off with?
I've been checking out a few web sites, and there's up to a dozen books listed. Which should I start off with? It's the development side of things I'm interested in.
Any Wrox Press books in there? Those are always the best.
