Free, Open-Source PNG Loader

I wonder if any of you remember me. Oh well, onto the real stuff...

I recently made a GPL'd, open-source, free PNG decoder class for use in Visual Basic... I don't have any hosting and it's too large to attach, but if you're interested in receiving the file you can either sign up at http://www.galahtech.com/ and go to Freeware -> Sastraxi's PNG Library, or PM me here with your email and I'll attach it.

Once I have webspace, I'll be able to have a permanent home for it :)

So, help me! Tell me what works; what doesn't. Right now, I know that web loading doesn't work (but that isn't too far away)... anyway, I really need beta testers, so POST HERE once you have it with your problems.

There's a full example project along with the source; this should demonstrate most of the class. Also, if you modify anything for the better, send it to me ;) I'll be able to incorporate it into the latest version.

Hehe...Of courese we (at least me...still hanging around) remember you. I am not home now...but will be in about 7-8 hours. I will test it now.

BTW I was thinking about an other thing too. If you have or want to write a tutorial or something on how to use it. You could post it as DeveloperKP, and then you could put a link to the server where it is located.

Yeah I was looking for it tonight and saw the web site. And saw that they had a lot of code left to be finished. I downloaded one of them, but I got confuesd when I saw so many downloads and no big description. And I didn't have the best time to try to read all over the Galatech forum either. So what is that libsabstraction thingy anyway?

It's actually kind of cool - a class library that allows you to input from any kind of source, but all you have to do as the programmer to read from these sources is something like mySource.GetString myString... mySource can be a byte array, a string, a file, or a file on the web :D

Just download beta 2 and zlib. Extract beta2 to whatever directory you want, then, extract zlib.dll to your windows system directory. Open png.vbg. The example program will show you what it can do ;)
