Validator Collection on Init...

Hey all, i am having a problem with my project, I have a templatized site using a seris of base pages.. but using .NET 1.1, aparently something happens to the required field validators that causes the jscript event to not be linked to the button, however, they are linked to the controls that I am validating... here is a link that is having my same problem http://weblogs.asp.net/eporter/archi...571.aspx#48194

Any idea what needs to be done on Init to link the page validators?
