In windows 98, i thought it would be in C:\Windows\ but it isnt!
It's in
Windows\Temporary Internet Files .
So is the cache basically the same as Temporary Files or History?
Temporary Internet Files holds cached internet browsing sessions . For the other two you mentioned , I forgot if they exist in WIN98 or not . But basically , they serve the same job as the above of caching files .
What cache are you actually talking about. You probably have it as Memory on the MB and on the HD, and there is Swap files and as said Internet temporary files and so on...what was it you actually was wondering about?
1) Just wondering where it is located
2) The difference between cache, and Temp/history files
:)
1) Just wondering where it is located
Specified above (hopefully correct) .
2) The difference between cache, and Temp/history files
Any file/application saved for fast access is considered cached file/application (whether in temp internet files/ temp /histroy/swap files (as NoteMe said) folders . Nothing fancy them anyway . :p
1). Depends on what kind of cache you are talking about...;)
2). Temp files can be a kind of cache....
