VS.NET Evaluation?

VS.NET Evaluation?

I've seen on Microsoft's site that they had an evaluation copy of VS.NET that works for like 30 or 60 days, however, I could not find it anywhere for download or for order.

Is there anywhere I can download the evaluation copy at? I can get the full academic version for free from my school, however, I have to be taking a programming course at the time and I won't be able to start a programming course until next semester (which is several months away, the spring semester is just about to start).

It's hard to use SharpDevelop for development. It has soo many bugs, hasn't been updated in several months and has issues using the compilers supplied in the .NET SDK.

I have like 4 of them on DVD from books although I forget if its 2002 or 2003. If you have a DVDROM then email me your email address and I'll send you one.

I got a DVD drive on the computer so I'll take one (2003 if you got it, otherwise I'm sure 2002 will be fine for now).

I would e-mail you but, it says you don't want any e-mails in your profile and on your website I think the contact me link is broked (it says mailto:@edneeis.com lol). Actually I'm surprized you don't have my address, atleast 3 different times other people have posted it here when they got into an arguement with me, lol.

Well I'm not sure what I did with most of them, but I did find a VS.NET 2002 Profession 60 day trial. If you want it just email me your address and I'll send it out tomorrow.

I wonder why you can't email from the profile of this board...Hmm I must have shut something off and forgot.

Btw, can you open VS 2003 solutions in VS 2002?

Yes and no. You have to convert them to open them but all it changes is some insignificant parts of the Project and Solution files not the actual code files. To get a converter see my signature or Priates which links to a nice converter over at CodeProject.com. VS 2003 is definately better than 2002 even though most of the changes are insignificant. Its too bad I couldn't find the other trial disc, I might have thrown them away, although I'm not sure if they were 2002 or 2003 either.
