I haven't tested the app as yet but I did read his site and it seems that the only names left visible are names of controls. (at least in his examples).
I would suggest testing the app by creating two seperate Compiled copies of your code run the Obfuscator on one copy and then open both with a good hex editor or even better a decompiler. If you don't have one of these check out Hackman which is really good and it is free. Then you can see if the Obfuscator does what it is suppose to do without totally damaging your application.

The best app (hope I am not getting banned for this) to crack Vb apps is SoftIce....it can look at the events that is happening in VB. So if you are testing something in VB it will know, and it will crack your app. Much better then trying to find out what is going on in a Hex editor...

next time please don't bump the post within an hour of your last post, because it will still be on the front page, and people DO look at the bottom ones too.

No that was not to you....it was for the thread maker.....and to the thread maker. It is still hard to crack your app even if you are not using this approach. For everyone that knows how to do it, and want to do it, they will manage it anyway...
Besides, who really gives a rat's ass about exposed object names?
I get the feeling that raladin's app will be 90% security measures to keep people from cracking the remaining 10%.
LOL....
What the **** is a what?!
Sounds like something you would use to boil eggs with! :D
Can someone explain???
Woka
It is an application to hide the object names....:D

I thought obfuscators were for VB.NET only, but hey, it's kinda redundant for VB6, isn't it?
You don't need this. You have about 8 lines of code, as I remember, and your program uses no class/objects.Quote:
