USB HD Problem?

I just bought a maxtor 120giger external USB 2.0 hard drive.

It just doesnt seem fast transfering. Im copying like 2 gigs over to the external harddrive from my internal hard drives, ( running windows xp ) and its taking like 20-25 min. Is that right? Im running SP1 with windows XP also, so the drivers should arleady be on my system. Whats with this?

Also, having USB1.1 on your computer would make a difference in speed. (Gets slower)
