I've download the Gif89 from one of the website recommended in this forum. However, I am having problem with this gif89 and can't seems to get it going...
When I look into the unzip screen there are 3 files inside the download i.e. gif89.dll, gif89.oca and readme.txt.
I extract into one of the folder, but only managed to have gif89.oca extracted. gif89.dll is no where to be seen. I have try the start/find but could only manage to locate the gif89.oca file.
When I run VB6 project/components, I did a browse and manage to locate the gif89.oca. Error message appear when I try to incorporated it into the form.
c:\window\system2\gif89.oca was not registrable as an activex component??
Can someone kindly help me!
Best wishes

DLLs don't show up unless you change the properties. Email me, I know mine works...

Place both files in your system directory and register them. To register them, go to Start > Run and type Regsvr32 gif89.dll.
-
You can drag and drop the the files on a shortcut to regsvr32.exe, which you can put on the desktop or quicklaunch. Also they don't need to be in registry either, especially if youre not sure if you want to keep them, you can unregister them any time.

.oca files are information about the ocx file, not the control.
