Server Explorer and Connections question...

Hello All,

I was wondering, if I create a connection to an SQL server in my project's Server Explorer, how can I ascertain that on the client machines (where the SQL Server will have a different name) the connection is still valid? I thought that's why I had ODBC Sources, but I don't see how to create a connection to an ODBC Source.

hopefully you can us 'localhost' which will adopt the server name on which the application is running, but itsnot laways that easy
