Need Help: Need To Format Hd [RESOLVED]

I need to format my hard disk. OS of the machine to be formatted is WINXP Professional.

Done so far:
1. Created Startup Disk from win98 machine.
2. Reboot my machine using the startup disk.
3. Type Format c: from the command prompt but got a 'Bad Command or Invalid Filename' error message.

Can anyone please help me on this.

Some get a bootdisk WITH format on it. www.bootdisk.com should do the trick. Or try booting from the OS cd, and then format the drive

Tried booting for the OS cd and it works thanks.
