Howto install only VB.Net from VS Architect?

Hi... I only use VB at work and have access to the massive 7 disk Visual Studio .Net Architect ed. set there. I was hoping to be able to install just VB7/VB.Net off of that package we have, but I could not figure out a way to do it.

Honestly, I have no clue what the "Architect Edition" is, and I couldn't even get past the first screen of the installation to see if I could install VB.net because it wanted me to update and add to my system. I think it wanted IIS running. The installation seemed like it only wanted to go on a server.

Maybe I can't get VB .Net off of that package?

It gives you the choice, go through the installation. To use ASP.NET you should have IIS enabled, but you don't have to.

Let it update and follow the wizard.

OK - got it. My bad. :(

Right after you click on "step 1" there is a small form that pops up and one of the buttons was "continue" - as in you do not want this system to be a server (blah blah).

I just missed it in the confusion - sorry.

-Language Tools/VB.Net
-Documentation

Don't see why you would need anything else.

But why not just install everything? You never know when you may need to edit C++ or C# code.

At the very least, get C# on there...

It may not seem like it, but there will come a point when you will need to use C# to look at source code or something.
