Trapezoid ?

I havent been 2 skewl in a week and am having trouble getting my homework done (i forget things easy). I cant seem to figure this out for some reason (answers prolly easy) :D


Find the area of trapezoid if DC = 6cm, AB = 11cm, and h = 3cm

Answer Key Answer: 25.5cm^2 (it has been known to be wrong)

area = (p1+p2)/2 * h

area = (6+11)/2 = 8.5 'average length of sides

8.5*3=25.5

You can also do it this way:

(h/2)*(P1+P2)

1.5*17=25.5

I was overcomplicating it :D.

The answers simple now, thanx (1 sheet down 5 more to go :()
