Server/CPU (?) Question

One of my servers is down. I can access its CPANEL (It's a Linux Web Server), and in the status, I see the following:

If you have Cpanel too, open it up and click on the "Server Status" link on the left hand side.

With a red (critical) sign next to it. What does 1.54 represent? I'm guessing that there's a problem due to CPU overload, but I need you to tell me what the 1.54 represents.

Was the server that went down your up-side-down compatible site?

That has a right-side-up banner saying,
