I have four tables lined up and it appears that I can not lineup two tables left to right. Can anybody help me on the matter.
Also while looking at the code needed editing, could there be an easier way of making all the html code easier to deal with...

Place the two tables inside another table, set the mother table's cellpadding and cellspacing to zero.

I want the two top spread out a little bit more..
and I want the bottom two <br> from the top two tables and both spread out more left to right....
I have been told that in my code I have soem errors!
Can sombody look at it and tell me what is wrong with my code, and if by chance you can fix it for me?

Like so? I increased the table width to 90 or 95%...
What I meant was, is there any way to make the length of the code any shorter and or easier to read. There is so much code, it is hard to understand it all. So is there any way to shorten it up. possible a different kind of coding?

AFAIK, CSS isn't good enough to replace the table. It'll only make you capable of sorting your site in top, left, right, center, bottom - it doesn't allow you to make all the cool things table does, it's only good for arranging the site, so even though CSS is more up-to-date, tables is a good thing to learn.Quote:

The widely supported subset of CSS2 has that power. It can do nearly everything you can do with tables, with far less HTML and even together with the CSS it's probably still less. Anyway, you only need to write (and send to the user) the CSS once.
There are a few limitations that will hopefully get sorted with CSS3 - but only if MS ever makes a proper browser....

Well, I figure IE4 doesnt support CSS2, right? So i'll stay with the tables for a little while, i'll try practicing using CSS though hehe.

I had a web site that had absolutly no tables whatso ever. It used CSS and DIV tags to arrange the text. It was really nice, because, by changing the class tag from LHC to RHC, I could move an entire block from the left side to the right.... w/o needing to rebuild tables (since there weren't any).....

IE4? Why IE4?
I'll never understand why someone stays with an old version of some software when the newer:
a) is free to upgrade
b) is better
c) has no drawbacks that I know of, at least not compared to the old version
But I also don't understand why any intermediate to expert computer user would stay with IE at all, so I'm no expert at irrational behaviour :)
I'd have said the same thing 6 months ago - but, a lot of big companies here in Denmark are not allowed to update their IE because of secutiry reasons(so it's a pain making websites) - whos fault is this? The crappy system admins they hire =/

Tell that to the companies =), i'm not capable of changing their 'Microsoft is great' opinion, and must of the system admins has been brainwashed during their education, so it's FUBAR.
Extremely weird! I haven't even seen IE4 in years. The admins *should* know that there are security updates that actually EXIST for IE6. If Microsoft is great, shouldn't its updates be great too? ;)
Yeah, but it would require them to do a little extra work, which none of them wants to, hehe - So they're kinda stuck. The only good thing, is that most firms are upgrading to WinXP now, thereby getting a newer IE.

Something in your company. Make Mozilla the new company policy. Somehow.
I'm just a 16 year old boy, the only thing that matters to my boss is my results(which are good by the way ;)), he'd laugh if i suggested changing to MoZilla - and by the way, the company i work in uses the IE shipped with WinXP =).

How far back does the implementation of CSS2 go? In what versions of IE and Netscape did it get implemented?
A little CSS2 was implemented in IE and NS 4. It is not enough to properly work with, so for those browsers hacks are used to use seperate stylesheets, or to give them no stylesheet at all which leads to degradation: properly written HTML looks ok even if unstyled.
IE5 and all Gecko-based Netscapes (6+) have proper CSS2 support. IE5 is the trickiest of all browsers in the CSS2 family, but it is possible to do layouts.
