Hi
i have a number of dropdown boxes on a web site but I cant seeem to limit the number of entries to be displayed. for instance if i have suburb drop down - it fills the whole screen wheras I would like it to show maybe just 10 items.
it is bound using .databind
just cant find any properties to set
can anyone help

Working in vb.net at the mo so can't look at the control but the easiest way is to bind to a dataset and limit the number of records you bring back from the database to 10 at the time.
thnaks for the response but what I really need is a scrollbar on the dropdown with a limit to the number of items to display at sight (as in VB6 where you can fill a combo or list box and define how many to display at sight) . I just cant see a property that lets me do this. I must be missing something obvious but just cant pick it

any more ideas
get some good third party controls, like NetAdvantage from Infragistics. They have properties to limit this stuff i think. I dont do web development tho. it sucks! =)
