Change the data type of you Date field from Text to date/Time...and it will work properly.
When searching between dates using #mm/dd/yy#...the field needs to be a date data type.
Darn, i went to edit the original post and inadvertantly deleted the zip, i cant see an option to put it back ? anyway thanks Memnoch that did the trick :)
