Exchange Server and SQL database

Hi All,

I need to develop an application that can be used in below situation:

When a person makes an appointment at the MS Outlook, the piece of information will be sent to exchange server 2003. So I need to retrieve the newly make appointment to insert the information like start time, end time, subject into the SQL database.

How should i go about doing it?
Using what programming language?
What type of application should i use (like vbscript, windows service, etc..)?

If got coding better. Thanks. I really desperated.
