Anyone can help me to test this example? Just some configs

I've been looking for this example for a month back , but I can't get it to work . I mean how can I configurate it to test if it's really working or not . ah , you need to download it off this link to understand what I mean .

pretty nice...worked fine for me...caught the test message I sent to my work account, from my hotmail account.

I used mail.hotmail.com and many things but didn't work . :(

I have no idea...I set it up to check my work email. I sent the test from my hotmail account To my work account.

I think the problem is that hotmail doesn't offer pop3 access. They used to (so you could check hotmail with Outlook Express), but they stopped offering that.

OK , anyone of you guys know a workaround for this ? Even if I have to change some code ?

Get a pop3 email account :D

You need to use the Messenger API's in order to send alerts

Hey Pirate, were you able to do anything with the alerts? I haven't had the time to really look into the processes...

Not really , I added that to my 'todo' list :D. I'll finish some UI issues , then start coding soon. I'm stuck in small problem and trying to figure it out . If I gave up , then I would post it here .
but that example works fine in VB6 , I'll do my best to transform it to VB.NET .
