Hi,
I've been trying to Install VB6 Enterprise on Windows XP pro,but everytime the Installation starts it wants to Install the Java virtual machine,which causes my machine to Hang/Freeze.
How can I solve this? coz you cant install VB6 without J.V.M,Right?
I also have Visual Studio.Net Installed,will this cause any problems with the Normal VS eneterprise?
Please Help.

Windows XP doesn't come with the Jave Virtial Machine (JVM) installed, and Microsoft no longer alows you to download their JVM. It is required for the installation of VB6. It should work if you install Sun's JVM. You can get it at http://java.sun.com
why did microsoft did that anyways?
And why does VB uses Java?
Microsoft stopped supporting Java because Sun sued Microsoft over the whole Visual Java thing. Remember Visual Java, it used to come with Visual Studio 6. I guess Microsoft says, "You sue me, and I will get you back."
And with the whole VB using Java thing. The DHTML designer in VB6 needs Java, because you can use java in your DHTML Applications. At least I think that is the reason.
I think it's a little childish.
