Argh.
If you strapped a piece of toast with butter up to the back of the cat, then if the cat landed, the butter WOULD NOT have landed and thus you don't need to rationalise anything. Therefore the cat will land and promptly begin to eat the toast.

Where is my cranberry sauce?
But if the toast landed, the cat would NOT have landed. How do you determine whether the toast lands or the cat lands? It's still a problem in quantum indecision.
Actually it has been scientifically proven that the cat and the toast reach a state of quantum indeterminance at the half way point of the fall and end up just hovering until an external event breaks the deadlock.
I say the cat lands. But if you strap together 2 cats back to back then we are getting somewhere...
What if the toast is gay?

Why wouldn't they land on their side?
cuz they cant! the cat allways land on its feets while the toast allways land with the butter down!
So they will cancel out iff toast and cat have equal forces.
Now, if the combination was off-centered, would it cause a rotation?
Actually, a state of quantum indeterminence would already imply rotation.
If the cat-toast combination were to hover, then which side would be facing the floor? I say neither, so it would rotate.
If you had a greater understanding of quantum physics then you would know that in fact both sides face the floor.Quote:

If you had a better understanding of the same, you'd realize that a cat is not a quantum particle. :)Quote:

And since it's quantum indeterminance, it would in fact, not know that it has anything to do with quantum physics at all!
I am Einstein reincarnate.
Surely it depends on how you strap the toast to the cat. If you used a wrought iron toast harness, then who knows what would land first. And also, there has been no mention of whether the toast would be attathced to the cat butter side up, or butter side down. Has the toast been removed from the toaster? If not, this too would make a difference. Is the toast made from brown bread or white? Has the cat got 4 legs or only 2?
