on the back of the box usually
It's the ripped(pirated) version, so there is no box or anything. He forgot the cdkey and I think i maybe in an registry file or something somewhere..thanks
Just a thought. You are way too honest
And to help you with your question: you won't find it in the registry. Even if you will it won't be just plain CD Key. Better way - search the web. There is everything out there.

Oh Man!
You are way too honest. Your e-mail is visible to all and not all that hard to trace. Microsoft is just waiting to make an example of some poor, defenseless, regular joe like yourself just so they can get even more publicity and say "they" are being victomized! If you got a copy and it ain't yours you could go to jail. Loose the copy, it's not that important.
See you in the slammer Mat.
I got this from serials 2000 is the windows 2000 pro edition (what ever that means):
Version: OEM 1-2 CPU Final
s/n: RM233-2PRQQ-FR4RH-JP89H-46QYB
I have nothing to do with the number
have a nice day
Well it doesn't matter because I don't have Windows 2000, I'm on 56k and I don't want it. It's my friend's on mIRC. He just lost the cdkey after he used it to install Win2k so Microsoft shouldn't have anything to use against me. LOL
