ok...not a coding issue, but it is driving me nuts !
Installed VB6 on a new Thinkpad with XP, and I have an IBM mouse. When I go inside VB to program, I cannot scroll using the wheel !
I know I used to do this with the laptop that died...
I loaded the drivers.....still no fix...
anyone have any ideas ?
(p.s. Yes, the scroll works within OTHER programs, just doesnt seem to work with VB6)

however, it is a IBM mouse.....and the link is specific to M$ mice...I believe...I updated the drivers from IBM to make sure I have the newest....and it is still strange.
I can scroll in the project window, the properties window in VB..and in I believe ALL my other programs...
But in the code window of VB...it wont scroll....and I know it did it on the laptop that died.
I have a logitech manufactured mouse on a gateway box. YMMV.

sometimes my scroll doesnt work in vb.... sometimes it does. i think vb is the problem..... not your mouse or drivers.

I followed kleinma's suggestion and downloaded the Logitech driver.... and it scrolls wonderfully !! :D :D :D

But you have saved me a ton of frustration.
I had the same problem but installed new drivers for my mouse. And now it works....it was only VB that didn't work. In Mozilla, Word etc. it worked...strange...
I had exactly the same experience. Updated mouse drivers fixed it.Quote:
