Palm Wireless connect to SQL server

Hi gurus,

I have a palm powered SPT1846 from Symbol that has wireless access and barcode scan. I need to program a shipping transaction that updates our remote SQL server in real time. It need to execute a stored procedure also. Meaning, there's no need to sync from my PDB to the server DB. I'm evaluating Appforge + ExtendedMobile Objects to do this but still haven't figured it out.

Is this the right approach? or Pocket PC is my ticket...
